I have a Celeron 1.4 GHZ 256 MB RAM... which Antivirus and Firewall?

HEy

My laptop is .. Celeron 1.4 GHZ ,, 256 MB RAM,,

I had been using Bitdefender but faced sum probs wit it..

Now i havce switched to AVG free + Outpost pro firewall

The reason being tht AVG does not hog sys performance and Outpost firewall has a built in Spy ware.

But it does overall slows the SYS.

Is there any other alternatives

????

well your computer is pretty slow, so you need a program that does not use a lot of resources. download kaspersky antivirus 6 http://usa.kaspersky.com/downloads/trial... and use it it does not use a lot of resources and is very good, i have 1gb of ram and i am using it, it does not make your system slower

hi, i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

you can use panda anti virus software.its is cool and user frienly.
Upgrade your RAM, I can't even stand a 500 MB RAM with my 2.0...
Maybe you can try avast antivirus (free), with zone alarm firewall..Of course all security software slows the system a bit, but i experience no problems at all at my desktop system..
