If you go to Tucows.com you will find a Freeware section, which will allow you to download an antivirus program at no cost to you.
The bigger question is, what did you do that resulted in 1318 viruses? It sounds like you need to do more than just getting a virus scanner, you need to change how you use your computer. A virus scanner can only do so much.
