How do I get rid of a trojan horse virus. My antivirus only quarentines it.I want it to go away.?

I have AVG free version, if it is quarentined does it still hurt the computer. It seems like my computer has not been the same since i got this virus.

1. stop looking at porn or downloading music

2. delete all ur internet cache, cookies, files...w/e

3.download or buy a anti-virus program

4.disconnect your internet so any trace of that virus will not reinstall itself..

4. press CNTRL+ALT+DELETE to stop all the programs that shouldnt be running from running.

5.just wait and see if your computer recovers
